I’ve just been across to Classic Remise in Dusseldorf to have a look. If you’ve never heard of it then shame on you, but now you have. It’s a collection of classic car businesses all complimenting each other and a clever ‘glass box’ storage facility for private individuals. What’s so good is that it’s all under one roof. In this case, as well as in Berlin, it’s in an old tram depot which has been modernised for the purpose. I only wish some enterprising individual would do the same thing in the uk.
Even better, you can just walk in and have a look around. Plenty on show and plenty to buy if your pockets are deep enough. I’m sure that the surroundings add to the slightly inflated price tags. So if you’re ever in Dusseldorf then check it out.
