This is a customers car, it was bought on eBay as a non runner. The previous owner blew the head gasket and then continued to run it dry, silly fool. His loss is my customers gain. You just don’t see many of these come up for sale in a restorable condition any more and this one is the prized ‘Pallas’ version with a full leather interior. We’ve sent it to Pallas Autos for the engine rebuild as it’s really up their alley. When we get it back it’s getting a full chassis restoration but stopping short of a respray. It’s to be used as a daily driver and will just be sooooo cool. When’s the last time you saw one on the road? Maybe we’ll see new paint sometime soon.
Engine rebuilt and ready to go in.
Now for the body work.
Engine’s in and working well. It’s now officially a runner.
Well we’ve finally got round to the bodywork. Rear end stripped for inspection and all the new panels received for replacement. I’m surprised how easily it all came apart. If only modern cars were so easy! Early days yet but I think we’re going to have to drop the rear suspension to gain proper access however the handbrake is on the front wheels so it’s only the normal brake lines and hydraulic suspension to disconnect.
