Halo EFX Real Clear is one of the Halo EFX assortment of primary colors and Real Clear. Halo EFX Covert Black, Bright White, Primer Gray and Killa Red offer unparralleled contrasts in color – living up to the high standards that make up the Halo EFX line-up. Halo Efx Covert Black is a black base coat that works perfectly for the use of dippearls. By using the Halo EFX Covert Black as a basecoat, this will provide a good base, for the dippearls to grab on to when sprayed, and give them the unique look and quality that Halo EFX stands for.
Halo EFX Real Clear is a liquidwrap coating that can be used for numerous options:
– As a topcoat to protect your original paintjob;
– As a topcoat mixed with Dippearls;
– As a topcoat mixed with Additives;
– As a basecoat for other Topcoats, like Gangsta Black, Sinister Red, or Brilliant White;
The best way to spray Halo EFX, is with a Earlex ms2901 HLVP spraysystem. With its 1,5mm needle and turbine, it allows you to spray with the right amount of presure, creating a perfect mix between air and product. Make sure that the distance between the nozzle and the car is approx. 15 – 20cm when you spray the product on the surface. The ideal temperature to spray Halo EFX is approx. 20 degrees Celcius. Spraying in a room that is much colder or much warmer, may result in a poor finish on the vehicle.
The first layer, known as the tac coat, needs to be sprayed on really thin. This allows other layers to grab on to the surface a lot easier. Please keep in mind that there needs to be a 20 minute waiting period between each layer. Spraying on the next layer too early may result in a poor finish.
The second layer can be sprayed on much thicker. After the third layer the car must be fully covered in Halo EFX. However, even though the car is fully covered now, there still need to be another 2-4 layers sprayed to get enough coverage all over the surface, also to create a coat thick enough to peel.
If there aren’t enough layers, the product won’t peel as easily. Prep must be spot on when using Halo EFX Real Clear. Surfaces must be cleaned thoroughly, preferably using a solvent based prep method. In some cases, a base coat will be required for desired results. Testing is recommended to get the ultimate result.
When spraying Halo EFX Real Clear with Dippearls, please make sure that the cub of the spray system where the product is in needs to be stirred constantly while spraying. This allows the perfect mix between product and pearl, to make sure there won’t be any stripes in the end result.
Dippearls are available in many different colors. Depending on what color, the quantity of the Dippearls might be different per gallon, to get the best result.
